By moving the virtual memory/page file to a different drive other than system boot location you can speed up the pc and make it somewhat reliable in performance wise..
This process is Microsoft recommended one in the event of the pc is running slow...
Just go to this path...
Control Panel\System and Security\System
Select Advanced system settings

Once again go to advanced---->select performance settings

Then in performance options click on advanced----->change

Next untick automatically manage paging file option..

Then select c: drive and set no paging file and click set.. Here do not forget to click on set option.. (If you just hit ok without clicking set it wont change anything)

Then select the drive you want to set/move the paging file and click on system managed size and hit set and ok..

Then you will be prompted to restart.. that's it....
